ASRock Introduces Rock Motherboard Series With Intel B860 and AMD B850 Chipsets

ASRock has expanded its motherboard portfolio with the launch of a new Rock series, featuring models based on the latest Intel B860 and AMD B850 chipsets. The lineup includes four motherboards designed for Intel and AMD’s current-generation platforms, available in both ATX and micro-ATX form factors.

For Intel’s LGA1851 socket, ASRock has introduced the B860 Rock WiFi 7 and B860M Rock WiFi. On the AMD side, targeting the AM5 platform, the company has unveiled the B850 Rock WiFi 7 and B850M Rock WiFi models.

Key Features and Connectivity

All boards in the Rock series support PCI Express 5.0, enabling compatibility with next-generation graphics cards and high-speed storage solutions. Memory support includes 64GB RAM modules, while networking is handled by a 2.5Gb Ethernet controller. Wireless connectivity varies by model, with support for Wi-Fi 6E or Wi-Fi 7 on WiFi-branded variants.

Storage options include four SATA 6Gb/s ports and two to three M.2 slots, with at least one M.2 connector offering PCIe 5.0 support for ultra-fast NVMe SSDs. Additionally, AMD-based B850 models feature a 64MB BIOS chip, ensuring compatibility with future AM5 processors.
