Adata Unveils XPG Spectrix S20G SSD

The Taiwanese company Adata Technology under the XPG gaming brand has introduced a line of NVMe drives Spectrix S20G, which includes SSDs of 500 GB and 1 TB. They are made in the M.2 2280 form factor, use four PCI-E 3.0 lanes and support the NVMe 1.3 protocol.

There is no information available on the type of controller and the 3D NAND flash memory used. Unfortunately, this trend is increasingly seen in various second and third tier SSD manufacturers. The stated sequential read and write speeds at 2500 and 1800 MB / s, respectively, as well as the maximum IOPS of 160 thousand reads and 190 thousand write operations.

Separately, attention is focused on the bright gaming design and X-shaped RGB backlighting, which can be controlled using the SSD ToolBox utility. Spectrix S20G drives support LDPC (Low-Density Parity-Check) error correction technology, 256-bit AES encryption. Adata provides a limited 5-year warranty on the Spectrix S20G.
