LG expands its commercial appliance portfolio with AI-powered washers and dryers featuring advanced technologies such as Dual Inverter HeatPump, AI Weight Detection, and remote fleet management.
LG Electronics has announced its new LG Professional Laundry lineup, expanding its commercial appliance portfolio with intelligent laundry solutions designed for businesses such as hotels, hospitals, laundromats, and industrial facilities. The new range will debut in Europe this month, followed by launches in Asia and North America. In India, the lineup is expected to arrive during Q4 FY26-27 (January–March 2027).
The new lineup is aimed at improving efficiency, reducing operating costs, and simplifying maintenance through AI-powered features and remote management tools.
Built for High-Volume Commercial Laundry
The LG Professional Laundry series includes large-capacity washers, dryers, and washer-dryer combo units designed to handle demanding commercial workloads.
According to LG, the Professional WasherDryer can complete a full wash-and-dry cycle in around one hour based on a standard 7kg IEC load. The unit features AI Weight Detection, which automatically adjusts water and energy usage depending on the load size.
It also integrates LG’s Dual Inverter HeatPump technology for energy-efficient, low-temperature drying that helps protect fabrics while reducing electricity consumption. Since the system uses a ductless design, businesses can save on installation costs and maintenance associated with traditional vented dryers.
Dynamic Ball-Core System Reduces Noise and Vibration
One of the key technologies introduced with the lineup is LG’s Dynamic Ball-Core System.
The system combines a built-in gyro sensor with a ball balancer to continuously monitor drum balance during operation. This helps minimize vibrations even at spin speeds of up to 1,100 RPM, resulting in quieter operation and improved stability.
The higher spin speed also extracts more water from clothes, reducing drying time and overall energy consumption.
AI-Powered Fabric Care
LG has equipped the new Professional Laundry lineup with several intelligent features designed to improve garment care.
Sensor Dry monitors moisture levels using dedicated sensors and automatically adjusts drying time to prevent over-drying.
For delicate fabrics, Wet Cleaning with MotionCare combines gentle washing with low-temperature drying and optimized drum movements to reduce the risk of fabric damage while maintaining cleaning performance.
Easier Maintenance and Remote Management
The new commercial machines are also designed to simplify servicing and maintenance.
LG’s Front Service Ready design provides easier access to key internal components, reducing repair time and machine downtime.
Additional maintenance-focused features include:
- Heat Exchanger Cleaning Assist, which automatically rinses the heat exchanger after every drying cycle.
- Tub Clean, a self-cleaning program verified by Intertek to remove up to 99.9999% of bacteria inside the washer drum under specified test conditions.
The machines also feature a 7-inch circular LCD touchscreen with LG’s ProGuide Control interface for easier operation.
LaundryCrew App Adds Remote Monitoring
Businesses can remotely monitor and manage their laundry equipment through LG’s LaundryCrew mobile application.
The app allows operators to:
- Monitor machine status in real time
- View operational data
- Change machine settings remotely
- Receive software updates
- Manage multiple laundry units from a single platform
LG also provides Open API support, allowing businesses to integrate the laundry systems with their existing management software through custom development.
LG Expands Global Commercial Laundry Business
With the Professional Laundry lineup, LG is strengthening its presence in the global commercial laundry market.
The company already supplies commercial laundry solutions across North America and has expanded its business in Asia through localized initiatives such as its Laundry Crew franchise model in Thailand.
According to Baek Seung-tae, President of the LG Home Appliance Solution Company, the new lineup combines LG’s AI-powered washing and drying technologies with advanced hardware and connected services to help businesses improve operational efficiency while reducing costs.
The LG Professional Laundry lineup will first launch in Europe before expanding to other global markets, with India expected to receive the new range between January and March 2027.
