Magneto CleanTechhas launched an enhanced version of theircutting-edge Magneto Central Air Cleaner, now co-poweredbyFilterless Magnetic Air Purification (FMAP) and Ultraviolet (UVGI) technology. This high efficiency air filtration system based on “Trap & Kill”  process now combines withanti-microbial UV-C rays which thoroughly decontaminate the indoor air by killing over 90% of airborne viruses and infections instead of letting them grow.

The brand’s latest launch is in sync with ongoing research around the usage of air conditioners raising the risk of Coronavirus transmission. With the nationwide lockdown slated to be lifted gradually post 17thMay, businesses are set to resume operations with a part of their workforce soon. This will heighten the usage of centralized air conditioning units over the coming months. However, increasing evidence suggesting that centralized air conditioning units can be a source of contamination may add to the risk of virus transmission. The situation calls for a robust solution. Droplets containing the virus from cough or sneeze can be as small as 1 micron in size and can travel large distances, especially through air conditioning. The solution designed by Magneto CleanTech can capture and kill the virus.

Magneto Central Air Cleaner is an innovative solution that displays engineering perfection and high filtration efficiency. The advanced unit integrates with all types of air conditioning system to eliminate harmful PM 2.5 particles, viruses, bacteria, airborne pathogens and other cancer causing toxic gases that create indoor air pollution.Magneto Central Air Cleaner works on a multi-stage principle of trapping and killing all kinds of airborne pathogens. This system traps airborne viruses of even 0.1 microns (which is the size range of the SARS-CoV-2 virus) at the magnetic stage – through electron beaming, the RNA of virus is ruptured and furthermore destroyed with photonic energy of UVGI system, the air is sanitized and released into the space. Ultraviolet Germicidal Irradiation (UVGI) disinfects the air by emitting UV-C rays at a wavelength of 253.7 nm (UV-C band). These rays kill bacteria, viruses, and fungi by disrupting the DNA/RNA of microorganisms, preventing them from reproducing, and thereby killing them. Magneto Central Air Cleaner now comes equipped with the combined power of dual forces of magnetism & UV-C to amplify the microbe elimination on even the smallest viruses complying the global industry guidelines for preventive measures from spread of diseases like COVID-19. Since the UV system is applied in the central air conditioner, the occupants don’t come in contact with the light, making the system completely safe for humans.

The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) and EUROVENT have released guidelines for use of high efficiency air filtration technologies and UV-C lights to protect against the novel coronavirus. These air filtration technologies are required to be ISO16890 certified and should capture ePM1.0 size of microbes with over 80% efficiency, and UVGI has been recognized as an effective technology with the potential to eliminate COVID-19.While the system has not been directly tested on coronavirus yet, it has been tested to kill various other bacteria and viruses, and the technology is recommended by international bodies for SARS-CoV-2 protection. Magneto CleanTech is the only Indian Company with a product that meets all these local and international guidelines.
