AMD is conducting final testing with two new second-generation Ryzen processors that will soon be available to manufacturers. Both chips are designed to consume a minimum amount of power and thus guarantee an optimal long battery life.

In the CPU support list of ASRock B350M Pro 4 motherboard, there are two products, Ryzen 5 2600E and Ryzen 7 2700E. The TDP is only 45W. Specifically –

Ryzen 5 2600E: 3.1GHz clock speed, 45W, 3MB L2 cache

Ryzen 7 2700E: 2.8GHz clock, 45W, 4MB L2 cache

The current flagship of AMD is the Ryzen 7 2700E, a low-power version of the Ryzen 7 2700X, an 8-core processor with 16 MB L3 and 4 MB L2 front-side memory. The Ryzen 7 2700E with a base frequency of 2.7GHz has a lower frequency of 1.1GHz than the Ryzen 7 2700X. The overclocked frequency of the processor is still unknown.

The new Ryzen 5 2600E stands out as a low-power version of the Ryzen 5 2600X, AMD’s fastest 6-core processor. The processor with 16 MB L3 and 3 MB L2 cache has a base frequency of 3.1 GHz. The reason why the Ryzen 5 2600E has a higher frequency speed than the Ryzen 7 2700E is that both devices have the same power consumption.

Previously, the “E” suffix also appeared on some of the Acer products, and the TDP was only 35W.

In addition, in 3DMark, Ryzen 7 2700E is displayed as 8 cores and 16 threads.
Since AMD has not announced the above CPU, it is expected to ship mainly through OEM channels.
