Apple today announced the release of its MacBook Pro 13 laptop, which comes with up to Intel’s 10th-generation processors, along with the Touch Bar, Touch ID and Retina display with support for the P3 wide colour gamut.
The new MacBook Pro 13 replaces the previous model introduced in 2019, when it comes with updated specifications for 2020 that use Intel’s 10th-generation Intel’s Ice Lake processor, in some configurations, that deliver up to 2.8x performance improvement over the previous generation. Intel’s built-in Iris Plus card delivers up to 80% graphical performance improvement over the previous generation and supports connecting to the 6K resolution Pro Display XDR screen (only with Intel 10th Gen processor).
In terms of performance, the MacBook Pro 13 will feature up to Intel Core i5-1035G4new model will come with faster 3733MHz LPDDR4X memory up to 32GB, while on the storage side comes the Pro 13 bottle with dual-volume SSD drive starting at 256GB in the base models, with the option of up to 4TB. On the connections side, you can find 2 or 4 Thunderbolt 3 connections depending on the configuration.
While these are the top-end specs of the MacBook Pro 13 the lower variants will feature the 8th Gen Intel Core i5 processor with 2133Ghz DDR3 RAM and won’t support the 6K display output with only 2 Thunderbolt 3 connection.
The MacBook Pro 13 comes with T2 chip to deliver the most secure boot process and storage of any computer. The T2 also protects Touch ID information, so whether customers are unlocking their Mac, entering an online password, or making online purchases, their information stays safe
Other improvements that Apple introduced to the new model are its latest Magic Keyboard, which replaces the butterfly keys that were in some of the previous models. At the top of the keyboard, we can find Apple’s Touch Bar with the right side incorporating the Touch ID fingerprint sensor and on the left, a standard physical Esc key.
