Nokia 6 (2018), Nokia 7 Plus, and Nokia 8 Sirocco launched: Price, Specifications, and More

HMD Global launched the Nokia 8 Sirocco, Nokia 7 Plus and Nokia 6 (2018) in India. These smartphones were showcased for the first time earlier this year in February at the Mobile World Congress 2018. While the Nokia 8 Sirocco is the most premium offering from HMD Global so far, the Nokia 7 Plus and Nokia 6 have been placed at different price points in the mid-range segment. As for the prices, the Nokia 6 (2018), which is the successor to the Nokia 6 (2017) is priced at ₹16,999 and it will available in markets from April 6. Meanwhile, pre-bookings for Nokia 7 and the Nokia 8 Sirocco will open from April 20, and sales will begin from April 30. While the Nokia 7 Plus is priced at ₹  25,999, and the Nokia 8 Sirocco will be available at ₹49,999.

All three new Nokia phones will be retailed online at Nokia Mobile Shop and offline at select Nokia outlets. The Nokia 7 Plus will also be sold from Amazon India, whereas the Nokia 6 will be available at Flipkart. HMD Global is also offering special cashback offers on the purchase of all three phones.

Nokia 8 Sirocco comes as a flagship offering by HMD Global in this series. The smartphone comes with a curved glass finish in a stainless-steel frame, which the company claims to be 2.5 times stronger than the 6000 series Aluminium. It sports a 5.5-inch curved edge-to-edge pOLED display protected by a 3D Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top. It is powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC paired with 6GB of RAM. It features a combination of 12-megapixel primary camera and a secondary 13-megapixel telephoto camera. The smartphone uses a 5-megapixel selfie camera.

NOKIA 8 Sirocco

Nokia 7 Plus has also been unveiled by HMD Global in India today. The Nokia 7 Plus sports a 6-inch 18:9 Full HD+ display and will be available in two colour options: Black/Copper and White/Copper. The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC and carries 4GB RAM. The Nokia 7 Plus gets dual 12-megapixel rear cameras with the primary sensor and a 16-megapixel selfie shooter with Carl Zeiss optics.


The new Nokia 6 (2018) sports a 5.5-inch IPS Full HD display with a 1080×1920 pixel resolution and a 16:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC and carries a 4GB LPDDR4 RAM. It runs Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box and being an Android One device, dons a stock Android UI and promises timely security and feature updates by Google. The Nokia 6 gets a 16-megapixel primary camera and a 8-megapixel selfie shooter with 84-degree field of view.
