Xiaomi is hiking the prices of the Redmi Note 5 Pro and the 55-inch Mi LED TV 4 by Rs 1,000 and Rs 5,000 respectively with immediate effect. Xiaomi has announced that the new increased prices will be applicable from May 1st on Mi.com, Mi Home stores and Flipkart.

After failing for weeks to meet the demands for the Redmi Note 5 Pro and its range of TVs in India the company announced a hike in the prices.  Xiaomi claims that because of the large demand for these products, the company is unable to manufacture as many PCBAs (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) locally as it would like to. The Chinese phone maker in a community forum post stated that they have been forced to import a significant number of PCBAs, and hence the price hike.
